Turning token holders into equity holders is the most meaningful way for "token utility". Across is being very smart here: Stating a 25% premium to buy out token holders sets a min of 25% price movement that the current holders can capitalize on. If the Foundation holds meaningful amounts of $ACX, then they can sell into the pump (the price nearly doubled upon this announcement) and effectively crowd raise a meaningful amount of cash for the future Corp. A Corp. that will be partially owned by the tokenholders, turning them into actual stakeholders in the business, not just the protocol. To me, this reads like a win-win.
