The EFF says geofence location searches are unconstitutional and I'm not sure I buy it. They seem potentially quite useful for police work and do not seem especially intrusive if they are limited in time/space and require sign-off from a judge.

@Jess_Riedel Obviously if the police had a general ability to comb through location data at will that could lead to bad things like corrupt cops stalking ex-girlfriends. But if you restrict it to the vicinity of a crime and require judicial oversight it seems like it could be ok.
