Seems like "Don't risk a Middle Eastern shooting war that can quickly lead to Gulf oil exports collapsing, a global economic crash, and massive unpopularity ahead of the midterms and 2028 presidential election" would be a very easy bar to clear, yet here we are.
If this goes wrong, you can say bye-bye to the Gulf states (massive investors in U.S. tech and AI companies) and also bye-bye to the economies of Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea (massively dependent on Gulf oil imports) and to an extent Europe (Qatari natural gas imports).
Trump should use his preternatural ability to, shall we say, change his mind in light of new circumstances, before a Middle Eastern shooting war causes the AI/semiconductor build-out upon which all U.S. economic growth hopes rest to blow up and take his movement down with him.
