Khamenei has been in power for over thirty years, serving as the absolute political and spiritual center of Iran and the entire Middle Eastern resistance front. His sudden death during the recent joint airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel is somewhat reminiscent of the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, which triggered World War I, akin to the moment that sparked the conflict. The Sarajevo incident led to World War I because the rigid military alliance system magnified a localized crisis countless times; the strategic misjudgments and militaristic thinking of the major powers made them arrogantly believe that the war could be controlled and ended within a few months. As a result, once the dominoes began to fall, the massive war machine roared to life, and no one could stop it. If one cannot accumulate strength early on, when the global landscape becomes turbulent, a young person who has just entered society will be like a small boat in a giant wave. In such a grand era, the freedom of personal choice will first be stripped away by the pressure of survival (the literal meaning of survival, which is to live safely), and you can only be pushed along, let alone talk about the life you desire.
