I remember in September of last year when David Zaslav said he thought he could get at least $30 a share for @wbd in a bidding war and the whole media- Wall Street world scoffed. Well here we are at $31 a share. I was among the fist and maybe only reporter who covered Zas and who saw that he was creating something special: A reinvigorated Warner Studio and a repaired streaming service in @StreamOnMax, cost cutting and eliminating debt from the AT&T - Warner spinout. Btw CNN for all the shade thrown at it still makes money and a lot. The past 6 months were crazy with lots or twists and turns, multiple bidders, a near deal with @netflix, lawsuits and drama in DC over antitrust law. But here we are with a $31 a share, $80.5 billion, all cash deal w $PSKY up from their initial $18 cash a share cash-stock bid and a far cry from $WBD’s $12 stock price when this started. Amazing.
