Front-end interfaces that connect to decentralized trading protocols must not be required to perform KYC. U.S. law does not, and should not, force non-custodial software developers to conduct warrantless surveillance of their users. Financial privacy is a fundamental right.

It's important not to turn a blind eye to illicit financial activity onchain, even if it pales in comparison to the volume already in TradFi. But the answer isn't mapping old rules, which exclude billions of people from the financial system, onto new tech that can do it better.
