There are 3-5 million Turks in Germany. They often rank last in the integration statistics. Studies have found that Turks are 3x more likely to rely upon the German welfare state than native Germans. They also tend to have 3x to 5x the unemployment rate of Germans. Failed integration costs Germany €16 billion ($20 billion) per year. It would be cheaper. Other surveys have shown that anywhere from 25 to 35% of Turks in Germany would prefer to return to their home country, though many lack the resources. Remigration is cheaper than perpetually hosting these minority populations.
