Token Narrative:TOTO is a Japanese company best known for toilets and bidet seats.
But now people are realizing: TOTO is quietly making money from AI — and a lot of it — through advanced ceramic components.
The tech:
Semiconductor fabs need something called an electrostatic chuck.
It uses static electricity to hold silicon wafers in place during precision etching — under extreme cold, plasma, and corrosive environments. Metals would fail or contaminate. So they must be made from ultra‑stable, high‑end ceramics.
TOTO, with decades of precision ceramic engineering from making high‑end toilets, accidentally became one of the few companies capable of producing these chucks.
The result:
This "ceramic chuck" business accounts for less than 10% of TOTO's revenue — but contributes 40–50%+ of total profit.
AI demand exploded → NAND chip fabs expanded like crazy → demand for these chucks skyrocketed.
Now some are calling TOTO the hidden, underrated player in the AI memory chip supply chain.
They're publicly urging TOTO to market this side of the business more, improve capital efficiency — and claim the stock could rise another 50%+ once the market fully realizes.
