My guess is that we are in the blogger era for software engineering. There will be a huge short term spike in software produced but over the following years all the value will accrue to the absolute best. A shockingly large number of businesses exist because it didn’t make sense for the very best to compete with them. When software is produced at the speed of ideas, a lot of business moats will collapse
