Posted this a few days back and it sparked debate. My argument: first mover with majority market usage is nearly impossible to dethrone. Counter argument: Anthropic quickly gaining marketshare away from OpenAI. Then today, OpenAI hires the OpenClaw founder. Thing is, market leaders don't sit on their hands watching competition eat their lunch. They acquire, they copy, and they outspend the rest. As much as I prefer Claude right now, my money is that OpenAI retains the throne for the foreseeable future.
