The insufferable status quo of many modern politicians — The arrogance to act like they are knowledgeable on topics such as this, having done little more research than most on Twitter / listening to podcasts. And — given there is no other metric of success — the disingenuousness to approach any topic with the aim to simply say whatever they feel will be most popular with their audience.
