This is absolutely insane… The BLS just revised US job numbers down by over 1 million for 2025. This is the largest annual revision in at least two decades. But the real story isn’t just this year. 2024 was revised down by -818,000. 2023 was revised down by -306,000. That’s over 2.1 million jobs wiped from the record in just 3 years. Jobs that were reported as “created”, never existed. Zoom out further and it gets worse. Over 2.5 million jobs have been erased from official data since 2019. Negative revisions in 6 of the last 7 years. Do you notice the pattern? For perspective, the combined revisions during the Great Recession were roughly half of what we’ve seen in the last 3 years.
