Gallup will no longer measure presidential approval after 88 years.
After more than eight decades of tracking presidential approval ratings, Gallup has decided to discontinue the practice.
The official explanation is that it “reflects an evolution in how Gallup focuses its public research and thought leadership.”
The real reason is likely fear of retaliation from Trump. As of last December, Trump’s approval rating was among the lowest Gallup has recorded since it began conducting the poll in the 1930s.
