I'm going to spend $5k this year buying cryptoart from artists on tez trying to get established. I’m not @batsoupyum but it’s what I can manage. Also it’s CAD so that makes it even less ffs 😭 Anyway it'll come out to around 250 tez per week. It's not nearly enough but hopefully it helps. I don’t have helpers but you can help however you like (share posts etc). Here's how it works:

1) I’ll set up and fund a new tez account to buy the pieces, which will then be sent to a vault called something artful and clever, like “Billy’s Big 2026 Art Buying Bonanza Bunker” 🤌 2) I’ll invite the artist(s) of each piece collected to do a short writeup about themselves and the work 3) I will discuss (with great brevity) why I bought the piece. In return you will post many breathless adulations about my scintillating brilliance, impeccable taste, and selfless patronage 💅 The mission is to elevate artists. That's it. I don't have investors or some sort of agenda to flip this and get rich. Ideally the works all end up under better stewardship than I can provide for the long term. Or until the singularity and then we’re all pretty much fvcked. Or saved. idk It's all my own money and I'm doing it because I'm tired of seeing almost all good artists struggle on tez. So rather than whine about it I've decided to do something. Even though it’s something that I’m already kind of doing 🤣

A few things to note: - I will not be doing open calls for work because I don’t really know what that is unless it just means posting on here, and then you posting your art + links below. Lemme know plz. If that is what an open call is, then ~50% of the works purchased will be from the open calls and the other ~50% from outside of the calls. I spend a lot of time digging for art and not everyone is into open calls and some of us (be honest) don’t even know what an open call is. I get it. I’ll find you. I mean I’ll try to find you. No matter what though, NO SHILLING outside of the open calls. There are subtle ways to show off your work without shilling. Shilling is a fantastic way to remove yourself and your art from finding a resting place in “Billy’s Big 2026 Art Buying Bonanza Bunker”.

- All works must be on tez mainnet and have a link and asking price. We all have day jobs and work/family commitments and it's too difficult to try and track people down.

- Virtually all purchases will be for primary works. The idea is to get money in the hands of the artists. Maybe the odd secondary buy too but some of y’all on secondary are gd crooks fr fr 😭

- This is not a contest. Bats clearly has way more money than me and friends with deep pockets. As I have already demonstrated, I have no idea wtf I'm doing and the reality is that $5k simply isn't enough. Most artists won't be a part of this. It sucks I know. But also understand that taste is subjective and maybe my taste is terrible so don't take a purchase or not purchase as some sort of judgement. I’m just a bozo born yesterday who likes art on tez.

- Literally none of you mentioned expanding in socials beyond Twitter but I have a gorgeous LinkedIn account and I'm going to spend crazy amounts of time there trying to build out awareness for the Bunker. Just kidding. That will absolutely not be happening. I'll post about purchases here. Let's see if we can onboard a few folks over to tez this way 💪
