75% of people don’t work towards any long term goals.
Going through the motions to get paid next Friday, pick kids up from school, a few beers on the couch each night.
It’s a great way to watch 10 years pass without growing as a human at all.
I’m going to be myself here.
And I strongly believe too many competent people get the golden handcuffs, get comfortable, and spend 30 years going through the motions.
My point:
Don’t let it happen to you.
Stop and think.
Are you doing anything to move your life forward or are you comfortable, complacent, and staying where you are?
If you like where you are, that is great.
If you don’t, make a change.
A change almost always involves doing something not-fun now, delaying gratification, and working at something.
But if you want a better life, it has to be done.
You don’t have to have anything to want and work towards a better life.
But still most people accept where they are, spend every dollar and more on consumer needs / wants, never own a single asset, and then die.
Don’t hand your kids that mindset.
And you don’t have to start a business or go to university to “grow”.
It could be as simple as cutting off a bad influence and going to try to make new friends.
Or getting into a new healthy hobby.
Or applying for a few new jobs.
Just put yourself out there.
