🇮🇹 A heavily armed gang blew up an armored cash van during a daylight heist attempt, thwarted by police in southern Italy. At least eight heavily armed robbers, some impersonating police with flashing lights, blocked the road by setting vehicles on fire. They used explosives to breach the cash-in-transit van and exchanged gunfire with responding Carabinieri patrols. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Two suspects were detained during the escape.
