There's no need to FOMO over every new AI tool that pops up daily. It feels a lot like the explosion of various small but beautiful SaaS products from 2014-2015, from Slack to Airtable to Mixpanel, with all sorts of tutorials and quick guides just like now. Back then, I was also immersed in the illusion of "increased efficiency" every day. In reality, the final "effective output" was very low. What everyone needs to focus on is understanding what problem they want to solve, rather than learning new tools. The more tools you have, the more anxious you become (because your prefrontal cortex has to handle more coordination and decision-making). Protect your prefrontal cortex from being overwhelmed by ineffective tools and information flow. First, address the question of "what problem do I want to solve?" That is the key to effective iteration.

I completely agree. I've been saying that the gap lies in the difference between "productive/intellectual affluent vs mindless." So a 10x engineer can become 100x, while a 1x remains 1x. Those without problem-solving thinking and the ability to break down problems are mindless individuals. Even with the world's most powerful computer, mindless individuals remain mindless.
Of course, if you have no technical skills or engineering background, there's no need to fomo... Looking at Japan over the past 30 years, the lives of ordinary people who are almost anti-tech advancement have actually been quite good.
