🇧🇷 Yesterday I visited the biggest indie hacker meetup of Brazil called Comunidade de Micro-SaaS It's organized by @brunomicrosaas who is a cool guy promoting this way of building a business (and has his own SaaS biz's too) Very cool to see bootstrapping startups is becoming big in Brazil too One thing you have to know is that Brazil is actually very modern in terms of startups, they have Revolut-like fintechs like NuBank, Amazon-like same day/hour delivery with MercadoLivre and their own DoorDash called iFood Once startups are big in Brazil they usually quite easily expand to the rest of South America by just adding Spanish as a language (like iFood), South America is still too different for US startups and not always worth it to enter so they do In many ways Brazil feels like South East Asia in terms of tech, startups and convenience, very modern One cool person we met there is @thisabri who isn't a coder at all but built her own startup with Lovable and it blew up in Brazil and became very successful
