The original version had a real problem. Open participation plus financial incentives led to bot farming, and even people like myself who liked Kaito couldn’t stand it because of how annoying it became.
The new approach seems curated matchmaking. Applications and invites, tiered access, and onchain plus social verification.
This makes sense as an evolution. InfoFi v1 was about democratizing access to earning from attention. In practice, that mostly meant farmers dominated. V2 seems to focus on building infrastructure where quality can actually be verified and rewarded.
It’s still early to tell whether execution will work, but the direction at least addresses the core problem. Sometimes gatekeeping is the only way to maintain quality at scale.
Watching to see if they can really deliver on “higher quality work, more opportunities, higher rewards,” or if this just becomes another curated marketplace.
