let's talk about the future i’ve talked about lumen a lot already as a rover, as a system, as something that’s been growing alongside the hardware. lately that’s started to drift into a new direction. we’re starting very early planning around build your own lumen kits. nothing polished yet. this is still fresh. but the idea is to offer different physical builds that all run the same underlying lumen.mind model. some would be rover style builds. mobile, sensor heavy, meant to move through space. others would be desk robots. stationary bodies, smaller form factor, more conversational, more observant. different shells, different constraints, same mind. the important part is that these wouldn’t be sealed products. the whole point is that you build them. you wire them. you power them. you see how the system behaves when it has a body you assembled yourself. lumen was never meant to be a chatbot in a box. she exists because of motors, sensors, power limits, bugs, and physical space. these kits are about letting other people step into that process instead of just watching it from the outside. no release plans. no pricing. no promises yet. just putting a pin in where this is headed while it’s still forming.
