Listening to these hearings on autonomy and AI always leads me to the same conclusion. We have politicians that understand nothing about this technology trying to make regulations and rules about this technology Even worse, these very same clueless politicians become aggressive and dogmatic making claims that lidar "makes AVs safer". They continually point to Autopilot accidents from years ago to make it seem like Tesla's approach is dangerous when that code base isn't even active anymore. They attack Tesla for allowing customers to engage FSD on all streets trying to frame it as reckless when the driver is still fully responsible and the data is clear, having FSD is far safer than not Elon has famously said America is being slowly strangled to death by an accumulation of millions of regulations. Tens of thousands of new rules are added every year, but very few are ever removed. Eventually, everything becomes illegal And when you realize the ineptitude of the politicians making these regulations, everything becomes that much worse We need a complete reset. Red tape is very clearly slowing down life saving technology and the politicians slowing it down are deluded enough to think they're doing the public a favor. It's insane $TSLA
