Your only chance to not have your soul destroyed by even a small mount of "fame" is to work your way up to it gradually, grinding it out in obscurity for a while before you earn a larger platform. But no matter how you achieve it, if "fame" (even internet fame, which is mostly fake) is the goal in itself, it will eat you alive. Most influencer types want the fame and attention for its own sake. There is no greater goal being pursued. But the only decent, spiritually intact famous people you'll ever meet are the ones who don't really enjoy being famous but see it as a necessary evil for their vocation.
