Complexity is a tax paid by every future developer on a protocol. When designing @Polkadot, we knowingly avoided the all-in-one execution model. Because scaling execution is a hardware problem, but scaling security is structural. By offloading execution to parachains and keeping the Relay Chain dumb and hyper-specialized, we traded immediate feature richness for long-term systemic stability. There's truth to the idea that in protocol design, what you choose to exclude is more important than your roadmap.
