Aliens must think we are so dumb. Literally. When you take a step back and look at our finical system it’s such a joke. You have fiat currency, which we literally make up and reinforce the value with violence and threats. The most people swap their time for this and would probably / do probably do some awful stuff for this made up stuff. Then we have things like commodities, of which we mostly just dig out of the ground. Like gold, does pretty much nothing but because it’s a shiny rock that our ancestors used to like, we still deem it as valuable. Kind of like a fail safe if our made up money goes to 0, we’ll all just assume our shiny rocks are good. And then we make up blockchain money. Then people say it’s less valuable because you can’t hold it, like you can their made up fiat or their shiny rocks. Rather than doing much / anything together that might actually enhance or further our civilisation, we argue about the above. OR lines in the sand we’ve drawn and the land within we’ve named. OR religion. If I’m an ET, I’m never invading or making contact. I’d be sitting there with popcorn like “wtf are these idiots doing now”.
