I feel bad for ~all companies that raised in the 2021-24 era. Imagine building a multi-year project with requisite organizational structure + tools only to get absolutely ass blasted AI acceleration. You're not only put on the same playing field, you're *at a disadvantage* Smaller, more-nimble teams can produce the ~same output (or even greater) with a fraction of the human+tech overhead thanks to rapidly improving AI tooling. You're either left with more bodies you have to fire or having to break down + rebuild your entire internal workflow and tooling. Basically everything @austin_hurwitz saw. Insane.
