It appears that Jeffrey Epstein contributed to and funded efforts that undermined civil society and social cohesion, dovetailing with Russia’s active measures against the United States—covert influence operations intended to weaken democratic institutions, amplify social division, and erode public trust. These efforts later converged with Bannon-era strategies, QAnon, and the far right as the internet metastasized into a domain of information warfare with the intention of undermining faith in democratic institutions and the social fabric.
