Dems are expected to move to table the amendment
The vote will still take place but some will vote to table and then argue they didn’t vote against the amendment; they just voted to set it aside
But that’s a distinction without a difference
The Senate amendment failed 48-52, with several Republicans not supporting. Remarkable because you can't argue that the guy pleading guilty was a bad apple: Multiple at the agency teamed up to punish its general counsel after the general counsel alerted the OIG to misconduct.
