It’s kind of wild that ICE didn’t have access to jails. Surely deporting ppl in jail has extremely wide support. But it’s harder to do now that ICE has already demonstrated they have no qualms about putting people through hell even if they’re here legally.

This is another case where Democrats brought this upon us by holding on to extreme unpopular positions like “we want it to be very hard to deport undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of crimes”
