Today I’m releasing Vanilla Studio (aka Marge Studio’s public base layer). It’s the start of a local-first, lightweight, web IDE with AI assistance — what's unique is: The IDE doesn’t ship “one personality.” It ships a personality system. ofc Default being the "default" You can create modular personas that control: - tool permissions (create/edit/delete files, etc.) - UI traits + behavior - system prompts / workflow style So you can spin up: - a CFSS doc/spec specialist - a children’s book writer + art pipeline persona - a hardcore code reviewer - or a “god mode” generalist that can swap roles on demand …and it’s all configured, not baked into the IDE.
