As soon as I got scolded for not buying gold, an article came out the next day saying I would buy gold, lol.
It's not buying physical gold, but they say they will buy gold spot ETFs listed overseas.

[Exclusive] The Bank of Korea will buy gold again after 13 years.
Starting this year, the Bank of Korea will invest in gold spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed overseas. This is the first time since 2013 that the Bank has purchased financial products related to gold. As volatility in the financial markets has increased recently, the preference for safe assets has strengthened, leading the Bank to hedge against risks.
According to investment banking (IB) industry sources on the 28th, the Bank's foreign asset management division will implement a new foreign currency asset management plan starting in the first quarter of this year and has included overseas-listed gold spot ETFs in its portfolio.
