They need something to give the crypto media complex a reason to print headlines about Bitcoin's stagnation causing it to fail. Just like the scaling wars. Normies will read whatever trash Coindesk writes about it and end up buying some quantum resistant Fartcoin thing whose blockchain halts every couple of days. It's all so tiring.
