i think what deep AI nerds miss is that it's not the most performant things which have changed the world it's the TOOLS which integrate cutting-edge or near-cutting-edge capabilities into consumer-usable products which are accessible and easy to use which is why a lot of AI-nerds weren't that blown away by ChatGPT 3.5 and some even by 4 at first but putting those capabilities into a chat bot where all you had to was open a website was exactly what was needed to create a civilizational event and i feel like we are seeing the beginning of that process again with stuff like ClawdBot and Claude Code now make . it . simple . to . use
i'm honestly still frustrated by a lot of the consumer-facing tooling around apps like ChatGPT and Gemini it is still super-limited versus what they could do in some ways, ClawdBot and similar are an escape hatch for those kinds of shortcomings
