This sounds like a joke, but how many places in the world - like say, North Carolina - are at risk of both devastating hurricanes AND massive blizzards? Not many. And tornados! 75% of all tornados worldwide happen here. America waaaaay over-indexes on freaky weather.

It is my eternal question why the United States is the only country with weather.
To live anywhere near the gulf of Mexico is to risk hurricanes. To live in the Midwest is to know that even if it was 70F yesterday it might be 10F tomorrow. To live in upstate NY is to know what the 'lake effect' is, and decide the hurricane risk is probably worth it. To live in California is to know that wildfires or earthquakes might just ruin your life. To live in the Great Plains is to know that the finger of god might just destroy your whole town at any time. Is anywhere safe?
