A senior DHS official tells FOX they have no record of the family entering the U.S. via the Biden era CBP One cell phone app as the family attorney claimed. FOX is told CONEJO ARIAS is an Ecuadorean national who is in the U.S. illegally, and DHS offered him a process known as VR (voluntary return) to leave the U.S. voluntarily with no immigration consequence, but he declined. DHS says CONEJO ARIAS fled from ICE agents who were trying to arrest him in Minnesota, leaving his 5-year-old son Liam behind with ICE agents in a situation now seen in viral photos. This has sparked claims from Democrats that Liam was “kidnapped” and “targeted” by ICE to be “used as bait”.
