Met the head of @MentorableHQ in my DM requests the other day, and thought the platform seemed neat. Since then I’ve been talking a ton back and forth with him about the concept, and he’s gotten me really stoked on it @lemonfloss is EXTREMELY passionate about his protocol and how to sustainably grow, while rewarding both mentor users and mentees/speculators (this was a huge green flag for me). This is one of the first genuinely novel ideas I’ve seen in a while and it stands to potentially reduce an incredible amount of friction in connecting users looking for advice on building/trading/comms/etc. with verified and reputable experts in the space. This gives subject matter experts a way to separate the serious advice/feedback-seekers from the infinite tide of scammers and entitled “advise me fo free” types that make DM requests a fucking chore Having mentor minutes be speculative assets that can be redeemed for 1:1 chats (and creators are paid out in ETH btw so they don’t have to dump their own tokens(!!!!!) or traded makes a lot more sense to me than the FT keys system did - especially because this protocol being based on business/industry advisory means gaining rep here by offering solid value to your clients….so minutes prices going up/down should be really strongly tied to genuine, no-bullshit value. That’s less meme speculation like Friendtech and way more like lawyers who consistently win cases having higher rates… Finally, not to sound too dire, but let’s be honest - in these market conditions, there are a lot of us here in crypto with very valuable and often very unique experience that could use an extra revenue stream, but would never resort to paid shilling, scamming, KOL deals etc….if this takes off it could be a very welcome new way for some of our comrades here to stay solvent in these scary times.
