Every time I hear the term "emotional value," I feel a serious physiological discomfort. If everything can be measured by value, does that mean parents can just give their children some money and neglect them? Couples no longer need to be loyal to each other; if someone offers a higher price, they can spend a night with your partner? Or can you just throw around someone's emotions and trample on their dignity as long as you give them money? None of the foreigners I know have ever heard of emotional value. Those who constantly talk about emotional value must have some serious issues with their worldview.
