Buying rare N64 games before that market likely heats up. Why? Because the purchasing power of millennials continues to rise as they approach mid-life with increasing nostalgia for things that carried importance in earlier years, which for me at least included the N64 and its classic game library.
Look for rare games like Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Sealed product will be most expensive, followed by opened but complete-in-box, and then loose game carts. I don’t buy graded sealed games however. The coolest part about this from an investment perspective, at least if the box is opened, is that you can play the game while the value of rare titles continues to appreciate. Contrast this with sneakers, for example, where the value of the shoe drops by 70% immediately upon wearing the shoes even once.
