This afternoon, community members set out from Bijie, Guizhou, to the home of another autistic child, Xiaohan. The one-way distance is 80 kilometers, mostly mountain roads, with a travel time of nearly 3 hours. It truly resonates with a line from an old song—"The mountain roads here are winding." Due to many navigation systems being inaccurate, Xiaohan's mother specially hand-drew the driving route, each stroke reflecting her trust and expectations for strangers. Special thanks to Teacher Liu and the two community members who traveled with us today. All the detours, bumps, and fatigue became worthwhile the moment we truly stepped into the child's home.
