In this episode, we visited a boy named Xiao Rui, born in 2018, in Xinjing District, Chengdu, Sichuan. Xiao Rui has been assessed with multiple disabilities at level two, accompanied by intellectual and speech impairments, with weak comprehension skills, almost no spontaneous speech, and significantly limited social abilities. What’s even more heartbreaking is that his father passed away in an accident last year. The family’s economic support, which was originally provided by his father, has suddenly been interrupted, and currently, there is no one at home to share the caregiving pressure. Xiao Rui's mother needs to take care of two children alone, including an older brother, and therefore cannot work outside, leaving the family without a stable source of income. In this episode, the FDUCK community donated 1,000 RMB to Xiao Rui's family. At the same time, we also provided some executable and sustainable intervention and rehabilitation suggestions based on the child's actual situation, hoping to create more possibilities for the child's growth within the limited real conditions. We are well aware that this support cannot solve all difficulties, but we hope it can become a concrete, real, and actionable support point, helping this family to continue moving forward.
