Alright so the Onset & First Brands story keeps getting crazier. In a court filing from today, Creditors accused Onset of "pillaging" the company with aggressive financings that were signed off by Edwards James, the bro of Patrick James. <1 year maturities but IRRs of 300%. In exchange, Edward was reportedly being paid fees by Onset and given the right to invest in these financings! Hundreds of millions may have been diverted to Patrick as well. Onset has vigorously denied this in an emailed statement.
