Believe DeFi money markets like Aave are presenting an attractive investment opportunity here. One dominant theme across 2026/27 I expect is DeFi to go mainstream through FinTech integrations and real consumer applications like Aave's new earning app. DeFi is now targeting two specific markets being Institutional via RWAs/Vault curation and consumer focused earning apps which is significantly increasing the size of DeFi TAM. I think 2026/27 may be one of the most exciting times to invest in DeFi.

However, the major part for DeFi going mainstream is solving security. This will become a real friction point when it comes to protecting consumers and satisfying Institutional requirements. I expect this to become the singular most important question surrounding DeFi. Thankfully I believe a solution has been found. More on this soon.
