An automated trading bot lost nearly $100,000 on Kalshi last night. At 1:03 AM ET, Trump posted “Fake News” on Truth Social. The bot instantly bought Trump to say “Fake News” YES up to 99¢ for thousands of shares. Sounds like free money - except for one problem: It bought the wrong week’s market. The post counted toward the week of Jan 5–11, but the bot bonded the week of Dec 29–Jan 4. Traders who noticed rushed to buy NO for pennies. One user made $38,000 in seconds against the bot.
