This time we visited Ren Shou County in Meishan, Sichuan, where we met a boy born in 2015—Xiao Meng. Xiao Meng has been assessed with a level three intellectual disability. He still cannot count to 10 completely, and can mostly say overlapping words like "dad, mom, grandpa, grandma," his basic cognitive abilities are quite weak, and he cannot clearly distinguish simple concepts like colors. When faced with simple questions in daily life, he often cannot answer. In terms of self-care, he still needs continuous assistance from his family. Xiao Meng enjoys playing some simple, repetitive games. His mother also has an intellectual disability, which prevents her from working outside; his father struggles to find stable work at the construction site, and currently can only farm at home, barely maintaining the family's basic expenses. To allow their child to attend a special school in the county, the family has long been renting a house in the county for over 200 yuan a month, which is already the lowest cost they can afford. In this issue, the FDUCK community donated 1000 yuan to Xiao Meng's family. At the same time, we provided some executable and sustainable intervention and rehabilitation suggestions based on the child's actual situation. We are well aware that this support cannot solve all the real difficulties, but we hope that under extremely limited resources, it can provide a real, specific, and actionable help for the child's growth, and also help this family continue to persevere....
