Don’t be surprised if there are pro-Maduro rallies in Venezuela, just understand why they happen. The picture here is from one I saw myself when there a few years ago. Food is heavily controlled by the state and distribution is controlled locally by state networks, often enforced by armed goons loyal to the regime. For Venezuelans, many receive CLAP baskets, basic goods, which are heavily subsidised and all that can afford. These protests are transactional and for loyalty. I guess it will take time to transition away from this.
