People will tell you that you can’t have an opinion on multiple things because you’re not an expert on multiple things.
I fundamentally disagree with this view for many reasons because:
1. Many things are simply not that hard to learn about and form a directionally correct view
2. Reading and learning about a multitude of things shows you how quickly things can change, for better or for worse.
3. You can prepare yourself and your family for hopefully a less turbulent future by spotting patterns in the things you learn about

Venezuela used to be much wealthier than Poland, which was suffering under socialism. Then Poland implemented free-market and capitalist principles and enjoyed an economic boom.
Venezuela chose socialism, which brought poverty and misery to its people.
That’s the difference.

I think a lot of people where I’m from have this idea that the country has some god given gift to always be an international super power.
And that arrogance has led to decades of insanely stupid decisions.
Reading about other nations shows you how nothing is certain and nothing is forever and maybe I need to get a second passport asap aaaaaaaaaaa help
