Let’s talk about the Pentagon Pizza Tracker, a subject that causes great distress to me. It’s not real & I would like to stop seeing it. The Pentagon has a pizza place, it has any kind of food you could possibly want. It’s explicitly there so they don’t order delivery. Secondly, what you see on Google with these surges is based on phones inside of the various pizza shops around the Pentagon. It’s not the influx of orders. People don’t typically go inside of pizza places outside of a pick up, so a few people an hour is enough to cause a spike. Thirdly, let’s get serious for a minute. Am I to believe that America’s entire military is eating pizza every single day and night during periods of tension and conflict? That’s absurd. There may be something to the gay bar traffic meter, I don’t know enough to say one way or another but the pizza tracker is fake. Go check it on a day where nothing is happening - you’ll see the same kind of spikes.
