Bad/incomplete analogy incoming: It feels like LLMs are similar to maps. But they are knowledge maps. And right now if you are a skilled sailor you can conquer the world. But having a map and knowing you could make it cross country is very different than getting on a railroad that takes you to specific places. All this bringing me to thinking Apps in the AI age are going to become more important. The avg person cant do anything interesting with a map despite them being extremely useful. Having an llm with distribution is important if you can than abstract away to useful apps. Still thinking it through.
