Since I joined @a16z, many people have been asking me what the team is like. I'm just getting started on the New Media team, but here's my first impression: - Fast-paced - High agency - High ownership - High bar for excellence - High trust Everyone is the CEO / owner of their domain and empowered to do their best work, fast. I often hear people say: "What's stopping us from shipping this earlier? What's blocking this? Why not this week instead of next week?" There's flexibility to work hybrid / remote, but many people prefer to come in, huddle up in a room together, and chat through things live. There are very few recurring meetings, and a lot of adhoc problem-solving and jam sessions. The team grinds... and is having a blast. Lucky to be here, working with the best.
