Welcome to A New Era, Steve Banks! Steve Banks brings more than 40 years of experience leading and reforming legal institutions to better serve working New Yorkers. He previously served as Attorney in Chief of the Legal Aid Society, the largest public interest law firm in the US. As our Corporation Counsel, Banks will strengthen the NYC Law Department by adding 200 attorneys to restore pre-pandemic staffing levels and achieve pay parity with attorneys across other city agencies.
