Found this old 8mm film from 1977. It’s of me and my dad walking the original Park City Alpine Slide route before it was installed. The 1976–77 ski season had been so bad that the resort was willing to give him a chance to try something new to attract visitors in the summer.

Gives me some hope that a bad 2025–26 ski season, losing Sundance, and facing increased competition from newer developments like East Village will finally cause Park City to wake up and try some new things that too over time will become as beloved as the Alpine Slide.
